Basic principle
SLGH lateral extended agitator is extended in the vat and connected to the tank (vat) by means of connecting the flange cover with the open flange of the vat. The paddle of the agitator is kind of ship propeller. Due to the rotation of paddle, liquor in the vat results in bidirectional movement. One is forward movement along the axial direction and the other is circular movement along the propeller. Movement along the axial direction due to the blocking of wall makes the liquor in the vat for circular movement, thus making liquor move up and down. In this way, liquor in the vat is stirred without accumulation of deposit in the bottom of the tank.
Functions
SLGH lateral extended agitator suits to be erected on large and medium sized vertical storage vat for storing low viscosity liquor with the following functions:
1. Preventing accumulation of deposits in the bottom of vat. Especially for heavy oil tank, it has a function of cleaning rather than by manual cleaning so that to increase the effective volume of the storage tank.
2. Keep the mixture in uniform and prevent the mixture with accumulated layers.
3. Obtain qualified product by mixing two kinds of substances.
4. Enhance heat exchange in the tank and keep the medium in constant temperature.
During practical applications, maybe one or more than one of four functions is applied. Generally if the most complicated function such as mixing is satisfied, any other requirements can be met with.
Main structure
1.The agitator adopts speed reducer for direct driving for stable operation.
2.For convenient maintenance, an emergency cut-off mechanics is arranged at the shaft terminal.
3.The sealing mechanics of rotary shaft adopts two types of sealing, i.e. mechanical and padding seals. Two types of seal can be exchanged optional according to need.
4.The swinging mechanics of the plug-in angular variable agitator is a ball-shape rotary connector. The ball is made of stainless steel with polished surface. The ball and hollow support are sealed with a ring in between. Between ball and flange, two seals are applied.
Classification of lateral extended agitator
The lateral extended agitator can be divided into two types: SLGHA and SLGHB, the former is an angle-fixed agitator and the later is an angle-variable agitator.
1. The shaft of SLGHA only rotates rather than swinging. SLGHA suits to mixing of liquid medium with good performance. But the flowing state of liquor is unchangeable, so that the deposits in the dead zone cannot be cleaned away during tank cleaning.
2. The angle between the shaft of SLGHB and the centerline of the tank can be adjusted in the scope of 30 degrees right and left. SLGHB can change the flowing state of liquor in the tank thus eliminating the dead zone and effectively reducing the accumulation of deposits in the tank.
Therefore, SLGHB is widely used for the tanks with cleaning accumulation as its main purpose. SLGHB has more advantages than SLGHA in the fields of investment, power consumption and cleaning efficiency.
Selection of agitator and its basic parameters
Selection of agitator depends on medium property, volume of the vat, stirring objective and operating condition. Before selecting agitator, these conditions, agitator type and power must be considered.
